I Still Suck At Casting

it dawned on me today that my bff (kerry) was not the only friend of mine who was recently out of the commonwealth of massachusetts. my other friends (hot amy and andrea) were attending a wedding in the home of the gateway arch (st. louis). aside from the gateway arch and the anheuser-busch brewery (beer), i'm not sure what other attractions are in st. louis. i am sure there are more... i just don't know them.

regardless, i started to think about my casting skills again. yep, i still suck at casting. (apparently, i have too much time on my hands while i wait to begin my new job.) the reason i thought about my casting skills is because i originally thought about kerry... and then julia stiles... naturally, as kerry was out of the state of massachusetts... hot amy and andrea were out of the state of massachusetts... so it then only made sense that i would cast people to star as hot amy and andrea in the movie about their lives. yes, this is how my mind works.

for hot amy, i was originally thinking amanda bynes from all those teeny bopper movies like "she's the man" (the rehashed movie about a girl posing as a boy) and "what a girl wants". then i started to think... amanda bynes is too young... and as much as hot amy likes to hang out with the young crowds these days, i decided that amanda bynes just wouldn't work in the movie about hot amy. plus, amanda bynes is not hot enough to warrant the "hot" moniker. so, i had to resort to someone else who had eyes that could melt mortal men... my choice... kristen bell of "veronica mars" fame... and most recently... "heroes".

as for andrea... this casting was difficult. you would think that with all the hours i spend in front of the television set, that i would know more actresses who are italian-ish. sadly, that is not the case. so, for lack of thinking of any other italian actress at the moment, i chose drea de matteo of "sopranos" and "joey" fame. drea de matteo was also in the movie "assault on precinct 13".

with so many actresses, all i need now is a script. that reminds me, i should work on that screenplay from last year... oops, forgot about that.
