Awhile ago, Karen was feeling nauseated due to the pregnancy. In an effort to make her feel better, the doctors recommended that she drink water with lemons. Apparently, there are many benefits to drinking water with lemons. Among those benefits is relieving nausea.

Anyway, Karen had gotten a bunch of lemons to help with her nausea. Unfortunately, she only used a couple of the lemons from the bag of lemons. And thus, the lemons sat and sat on our kitchen counter. In fact, the lemons started to get a little soft. So what is one to do with a bag of lemons?
Well, I decided to take a stab at making lemonade... like the saying goes. Apparently, all it takes to make lemonade is sugar, water, and lemons. Easy. The hardest part was squeezing the juice out of the lemons because Karen and I don't have a juicer. (That was also the messiest part of making lemonade.)
I got the recipe from Simply Recipes. There was a recipe from Paula Deen, but I was afraid it would be involve a stick of butter or something crazy like that. So I opted for the simple recipe.
Quite surprisingly, the lemonade came out pretty good. I already am close to finishing the entire pitcher of lemonade that I made. (Cue Rachael Ray's "Yum-O" sound.)

lemonade, like the kind you made with real lemons, is supposed to be good in preventing kidney stones as well...
i liked the way the lemonade (with real lemons) came out. i might have to make it more often now.
