last night, karen and i hung out with my friends (marc and kelley).
marc was gracious enough to make dinner for us. the chicken dinner with potatoes and green beans was very delicious. (cue rachael ray's "yum-o" sound.) interestingly enough, part of marc's recipe was influenced by rachael ray... coincidence? just kidding.
on the agenda for the night: the season finale of angel. now i suck at angel. i was actually pretty excited about the season finale of angel because i knew one of the characters would be returning to the show.
the episodes that we watched were: "war zone", which introduced the character known as gunn; "blind date", about lindsey's brief moment of compassion as far as evil lawyers go; and the season finale "to shanshu in l.a.", about a prophecy concerning angel.
at the conclusion of the season finale, it was revealed that darla returns! for anyone curious, darla was the vampire that sired angel. she incidentally was staked in the buffy episode "angel", after she tried to make it appear as though angel attacked buffy's mom.
darla is also one of the other characters i enjoy. truth be told, i pretty much enjoy all of the characters created on the buffy/angel world. as well, i guess it helps that julie benz, the actress playing darla... is blond... and cute.
speaking of julie benz, according to my friend imdb, she was a competitive ice skater before a stress fracture led her down the path of acting. interestingly enough, she also has apparently lost two roles to sarah michelle gellar: 1) kendall on "all my children" and 2) buffy on buffy. who knew?
anyway, it was a great night. unfortunately, karen and i had to cut the night a little short because i had to make preparations for a project launch in the following wee hours. project launches are one of those things that i don't exactly look forward to. but, at least the project is launched and off my plate for now.
