I Still Suck At Buffy The Vampire Slayer

tonight is prince spaghetti wednesday... or more appropriately for tonight... frozen pizza wednesday. usually on wednesdays, karen and i get to hang out with my friends (marc and kelley)and tonight was no exception.

as both karen and i were coming from work, we told marc and kelley that we would bring some frozen pizzas for dinner. sure, it was not the most exciting of dinners... but the pizza did the job.

so while we had dinner, we watched the two-part season 2 finale of the greatest show ever: buffy the vampire slayer. too bad i still suck at buffy the vampire slayer. for anyone curious, the episodes (called "becoming") center around angel's quest to end the world by awakening the demon known as acathla (or as buffy puts it... alfalfa) who will open a gateway to the demonic world. the episode also features willow's first foray into witchcraft, and the unfortunate demise of the slayer known as kendra.

as the episodes featured the end of kendra, i figured i'd check to see what the actress (bianca lawson) who played the character has been up to. according to my friend, imdb, bianca lawson has been in a lot of things that i have never heard of. in fact, the only thing i did recognize was the movie "save the last dance", which features my casting choice for my bff (kerry)... that choice being julia stiles. for anyone curious, "save the last dance" was an awful movie. ballerina turned hiphop dancer? c'mon... i can think of a better plot than that. needless to say, bianca was julia stiles's nemesis in the movie (the character, nikki)... a role that i did not even recognize her in.

anyway, the season finale of season 2 was awesome. i was probably more excited about the season finale than karen, kelley or marc. after all, the upcoming season 3 is my favorite season of buffy as it features the slayer known as faith, played by boston's own... eliza dushku.

following the season 2 finale, the four of us also watched another episode of my bff's new favorite show: fringe. needless to say, it was another interesting episode. i must say, the show does have me hooked.

i can't wait till next week... buffy season 3! i'm already getting giddy with excitement...
