I Suck At The Villa Rosa Restaurant

tonight, karen and i took nana out for dinner.

last christmas, karen and i gave nana a homemade voucher saying that we would take her out for dinner... any time... to any where. well, nana never decided on a time or a place after christmas, so karen decided for her. (it was actually quite cute because nana still had the homemade voucher that was created. she thought it was an actual coupon that we'd need.)

thus, tonight we brought nana to the villa rosa which is located in quincy. (she was really craving italian food and the villa rosa was one of the few italian places we could think of in quincy.) now, i suck at the villa rosa restaurant. whenever i go to the villa rosa, i generally end up getting the same thing... eggplant pizza. yum... eggplant... if only hot amy would wager again.

well, tonight was no different. karen and i ended up getting an eggplant pizza. nana had chicken parmigiana (which was also very good).

(pictured below is nana at the villa rosa with her chicken parmigiana.)

needless to say, the food was good. i hope nana equally enjoyed the dinner (and the possible lunch with the leftovers she didn't finish). afterwards, we went back to nana's house for some ice cream. there's always room for ice cream. we also ended up fixing her answering machine (by turning the answering machine on).

anyway, nana is too cute. unfortunately, i have never known my grandparents. to my knowledge, all of my grandparents have long since passed away. i did meet my step-grandmother (my father's step-mother) once when i was very young and my mom took me to hong kong. my step-grandmother did not speak english, so it was hard to communicate with her. that was well over 20 years ago and she was the only remaining grandparent then. i never saw or heard from her since then.

thus, nana is the closest person to a grandparent that i have... and i couldn't have asked for a better one. i'm lucky to have her.
