I Suck At Cleaning Cars

today has been a hectic and frustrating day at work. so it goes without saying that once it was time to leave work for the day, i was actually looking forward to taking the mbta subway home. (you know it's a bad day at work when i look forward to an mbta subway train ride home.)

anyway, one reason i was looking forward to the mbta train ride home was the fact that karen was going to be there to meet me. as it turned out, my friends (hot amy and carlos) were also available to take the train. well, it was an interesting ride home to say the least.

as there was a little drizzle coming down, i managed to twist hot amy's arm to give all of us a ride home. (i suspect that i really didn't have to twist her arm too much considering the company that was present.) the only condition for getting chauffeur service, however, was that i had to clean the inside of her car.

now, i have no problem cleaning cars. unfortunately, i suck at cleaning cars. apparently, the inside of hot amy's car is full of lint. aside from the blood splatter stains on the passenger side of car, there is lint all over the fabric of the seats in the front of the car, on the back of the front seats, and that arm rest separating the two front seats. hot amy claims that the lint is a result of her black sweater. personally, i am curious as to what she is doing with this sweater. i have this vision in my head that she is swinging her sweater around like it were a rally towel because there is just lint everywhere. i cannot imagine how else she would be able to get lint everywhere in that car. (well, i suppose i can imagine other ways she would be getting lint everywhere in her car... but that may be too risque to write and it's something i don't want to think about my friends doing.)

anyway, hot amy's niece usually picks the lint off the seats for her. due to child labor laws and the agreed conditions to receive a ride home, i had to remove the lint from the seats with the provided lint brush (which just so happened to be in the car). and again, i didn't mind doing it. i figured it was the only way hot amy would ever get me to clean her car because lord knows... she'll never beat me in any challenge or wager to even warrant a car cleaning. (pictured below is carlos with the lint brush. yes, he's in the back seat behind hot amy... also lint cleaning. i guess you could say he's been in the back seat of hot amy's car... hello... just kidding.)

needless to say, it was an interesting ride to my parents' house. i think karen, carlos, and i managed to clean up most of the lint in the car.

LOL, I think I may need to clarify a few things! Of course I didn't mind driving you guys home, but Karen actually assigned you the lint job because she didn't think it was really raining and that you were just being lazy by asking for a ride (nice job by the way). #2 My niece has never actually removed lint from my car, we just thought she would be good at it because she always finds the smallest piece of lint on the carpet etc. and seems to like removing it and handing it to someone! I was going to buy the Jetta with black seats but when I test drove it, there was all this light colored lint stuff so I thought I don't want that - but it turns out the gray was just as bad at attracting black lint - I'm sure it's not just me but other people have contributed to the lint situation over the years. Oh and finally, the blood spatter is just remains of an ex boyfriend - no worries, CSI never swabbed my car so it's all good. He had it coming! :-)

according to the rumors that i'm about to instigate, hot amy is a black widow (she mates, then she kills) much like the movie of the same name.

the blood splatter stains are a result of her ex... who apparently is now in "california" (albeit buried in a plot of land in california).

similarly, her love of seamen ( :) ) has resulted in the disappearance of a naval officer somewhere in the booney lands of "arizona". it's very convenient how these men end up out west, right?

the only former boy-toy to have escaped her dastardly blood thirst is pam's brother-in-law... although i'm sure if hot amy had her way, that would not be for long...
