today, i had the pleasure of having lunch with my friend (hot amy).
as hot amy had a craving for mac 'n cheese, we ended up at silvertone bar and grill. now, i suck at silvertone bar and grill. i haven't been to silvertone in quite some time. apparently, neither had hot amy, which is why we ended up going there. (our other option for mac 'n cheese was scollay square, but i think she was there recently.)
anyway, silvertone is known to have a delicious a mac 'n cheese dish. coincidentally, my bff (kerry) was there at silvertone not too long ago when she met her friend for grilled cheese sandwiches. apparently, the grilled cheese meal is also delicious. who knew?
well, i would say the mac 'n cheese at scollay square was better than silvertone. (i actually did not order mac 'n cheese. i had the tuna melt... and a good portion of hot amy's mac 'n cheese.) the mac 'n cheese at silvertone was not bad... it was pretty good (just that i like scollay's better). the cheese just seemed more stringier and the bowl of macaroni seemed never ending. (the macaroni by the way looked like it was steroids... they were huge.)
regardless, i had an enjoyable time with hot amy. it was fun to just hang out, laugh, and not have to think of work. if and when i leave my current job, i will definitely miss having lunches with her.
