I Suck At The Fat Cat

to celebrate the last day of karen and hot amy's teaching this semester, the three of us decided to go out for some dinner after i had arrived to chauffeur their sorry bums home. (plus, we were pretty hungry to begin with so it didn't take too much convincing to go out for dinner.)

anyway, we decided to go to the fat cat which is located in quincy center near sully's. i believe the place used to be an indian supermarket or something like that. needless to say, i suck at the fat cat. apparently, none of us have ever been to the fat cat, so we decided to see what the buzz was all about.

anyway, when we arrived, the host told the three of us that he'd be right back. he then disappeared to clear a table and whatnot. it was quite some time before he finally came back to take our name. in the time he was gone, i got to visit the fat cat bathroom. (the bathroom is interesting with its square sink and automatic faucet.) karen and hot amy also were able to visit the bathroom too... (not the same one though.)

lucky for us, when we were finally able to put our names in, we did not have too long of a wait to be seated. the place is tiny, which makes getting a table difficult at times.

as for the food, the food was good. karen had the chicken philly, hot amy had mac 'n cheese and tomato bisque soup, and i had the beer battered fish sandwich. needless to say, we ate and hung out together. it was fun. if only i had my camera with me to take pictures.

anyway, in my opinion, i don't really know what the buzz for the fat cat is all about. don't get me wrong, the food was good. if i had to rate the service, i would say it was not that good. thus, the whole entire dining experience was just mediocre to me. i think the only reason why there is such a buzz about the fat cat is that the owner is local. that said, the food was definitely good... but not worth any extended amount of waiting time for in my opinion.

afterwards, i actually had to do my chauffeur duties one more time... as i had to drive hot amy back home (her car was in the shop). all in all, i had a good time last night.
