I Suck At Christina's Restaurant

tonight, karen and i did something a little spontaneous... we ate dinner at christina's restaurant located in pembroke. now i suck at christina's restaurant. i have never been there (or even heard of the restaurant) until tonight. i must say... the food was very good.

for those of you wondering how we ended up in pembroke on route 53... my friends (ron and trinh) live in pembroke. earlier in the week, i had contacted trinh to see if she would be around so that karen and i could pop over and deliver a little present to them. karen had created an artsy crafty thing that held pictures of ron and trinh's adorable children. the crafty thing can best be described as a photo book thing in the shape of a square... that opened up to reveal scrapbook photos.

ron and trinh generally use holiday pictures of their children as their christmas cards. as recipients of their cards, karen and i amassed a little collection of those pictures over the years. so one day, karen decided to try her hand at creating this artsy crafty thing using those christmas card photos.

anyway, as trinh was around tonight, karen and i stopped on over after work. ron and trinh have three girls... all of them are adorable. i don't know how trinh does it. i wish i could have taken the picture of trinh shuffling around with two of her daughters wrapped around her legs. it was cute.

as karen and i were leaving, we debated about whether to go home to make a meal... or go out for dinner. obviously, laziness won and we chose the latter... only because trinh recommended that we try this place called christina's restaurant which was just up the street on route 53. (plus, we were both pretty hungry.)

thus, karen and i gave christina's restaurant a try. christina's restaurant is a quaint little italian restaurant. the food was quite delicious. karen and i had butternut squash ravioli for an appetizer. i ended up getting eggplant parm while karen got the scallops. (cue rachael ray's "yum-o" sound.) i have a feeling that christina's makes their own pasta.

needless to say, trinh was correct. christina's restaurant was definitely a good recommendation. unfortunately, karen and i were too full to sample any desserts, but the list of desserts did sound quite appealing. karen also wants to go back and try their pizza... which i am all for.
