I Suck At Resident Evil 5

while karen was spending the night at her grandmother's house with her cousins, i began my weekend of debauchery on saturday. and of course, nothing says debauchery more than killing zombies.

after spending the majority of the day working on the house (interspersed with a visit from my parental units), i headed over to my friends (marc and kelley) who had contacted me about watching the bruins and red sox. for anyone curious, i was working on the lip portion of our second floor stairs between the carpet and the floor.

for the longest time, the floor near the stairs simply ended in rough cuts of laminate and the carpet began beneath the lip. karen and i had a solution to cover up the rough cuts to finish off the lip and make it seem less unsightly. unfortunately, i never got around to installing it... that is until saturday. (the solution involved cutting back part of the laminate floor and installing a strip of wood to allow the nails to attach to.)

anyway, with the lip completed, i headed over to marc and kelley's. it would be the third time in four days that i hung out with them. i hope they haven't gotten sick of me yet.

as usual, it was a fun time. i got to play resident evil 5. too bad i suck at resident evil 5. nonetheless, killing zombies is a blast... especially in the co-op mercenaries mode where you can play with a friend. kelley had recently unlocked the mercenaries mode and we figured that we'd give it a try... we weren't that good together. but, we did end up unlocking some of the other places to kill zombies.

shortly thereafter, we hung out... had dinner and watched the bruins and the red sox. for anyone curious, the boston bruins are in the nhl playoffs. after many numerous years of being awful, i had practically given up hope on the bruins. luckily, the bruins are actually a great team this year. needless to say, the game was great. the boston bruins were playing against their arch-rivals: the montreal canadiens. the bruins ended up winning 5-1 and now lead the series 2-0 (in the best of 7 series).

we also watched the red sox as well. it was a good day for boston sports (with the exception of the celtics from what i hear.) the red sox ended up beating the baltimore orioles as well by a score of 6-4.

anyway, as usual it was fun hanging out with marc and kelley. i had a great time.
