I Suck At Bloodrayne

as proof that i will watch just about any bad movie... today i decided to watch the movie, bloodrayne after dropping karen off at the train station this morning. (i had time to kill before work.) now i suck at bloodrayne.

bloodrayne is a movie based on the video game of the same name. i remember playing the video game... both the original and its sequel... and enjoying the games rather immensely. of course, this was back in the day when i used to play a lot of video games. someday i'll get back into the gaming world.

and if there is anything i have learned from hollywood... it's that movie adaptations of video games are definitely awful. hollywood has produced such awful movies based on video games like... house of the dead, alone in the dark, hitman, max payne, tomb raider, mortal kombat, street fighter, super mario brothers... and the list goes on and on. for a better list of movies, please see my friend, wikipedia.

needless to say, bloodrayne... does not disappoint. the movie is pretty bad. surprisingly, bloodrayne has stars like michael madsen, michelle rodriguez, and ben kingsley in the film. yes... ben kingsley... of ghandi fame. billy zane (of titanic) and meat loaf also have a guest appearance. if only meat loaf actually took his own advice of "i will do anything for love.. but i won't do that". it should also come as no surprise to anyone that michelle rodriguez plays a tough mean woman. no, she's not typecasted at all...

anyway, the movie was definitely terrible. surprisingly, the movie has two sequels. and since i like completing things, like a series, i almost feel compelled to watch those seemingly terrible movies too. so we'll see...
