last night, karen and i hung out with our friends (marc and kelley). as this was going to be a busy week (with thanksgiving and all), we decided to get together on monday.
as usual it was a fun time. for dinner, we ordered takeout from the fowler house located in quincy. among other things, i truly suck at the fowler house. i generally use the "yum-o" phrase as coined by rachael ray whenever i refer to great tasting food. unfortunately, for some reason, i have never liked the food at the fowler house. the food always seemed greasy to me... and last night was no different. but, marc had a craving for the fowler house so all of us ordered food from there. as luck would have it, i was starving... so i would have eaten anything.
the only staple of the fowler house that cracks me up is seeing an old middle school teacher who seems to be regularly there. now, i don't go into the fowler house often... but whenever i am there... i can always count on seeing mr. henderson. it's very odd... and funny at the same time to see an old middle school teacher there because when you grow up, you look at your teachers as... teachers... and not regular everyday people... at least i do.
anyway, one would think that mr. henderson owns the fowler house for always being there... he doesn't... it is just pure coincidence that he is there whenever i am there... or maybe he is quite the regular... a la "norm" from cheers.
needless to say, all of us had dinner and watched some more episodes of the greatest show ever: buffy the vampire slayer. now i still suck at buffy the vampire slayer. we were able to squeeze in three more episodes before watching the latest episode of heroes. (heroes, by the way, is definitely not as good as it used to be this season.)
the episodes from season 2 of buffy that we were able to watch included the episode about ted (starring the former john ritter), mind-controlling eggs, and buffy's 17th birthday surprise. all of them, of course, were great episodes. in fact, buffy's 17th birthday surprise sets up the rest of the season 2. love it!
knowing what happens, i am even more excited to watch the remainder of season two again with everyone... too bad i have to wait another week...

you know what's weirder than running into former teachers in public? finding them on facebook. i found madame higgins there today. so strange!
this is going to sound like a dumb question, but why were you searching for madame higgins on facebook?
i wasn't searching for her....i found her on someone else's friend's list. i'm terrible at remembering names so i usually look at other people's lists to see if i recognize anyone on there.
