I Suck At Cleaning Toilets

today, my friend (hot amy) came over. since teaching at simmons college this semester, karen and hot amy routinely get together every weekend to review and correct case studies.

as both karen and i were feeling under the weather (probably a result of the perpetually germy hot amy), hot amy decided to come over. for anyone curious, hot amy is slightly under the weather as well. so in essence, the three of us pretty much had our own germ-fest today. yay.

anyway, now that we were having company, karen and i frantically cleaned the house. karen is a cleaning nut. plus, we like to have our place looking good for guests. unfortunately, one of the duties i had to do today was clean the toilets. now, i suck at cleaning toilets.

i don't really mind cleaning toilets that much. in addition to the disinfectant spray cleaner, we have a "toilet want" that allows us to clean inside the bowl. the toilet wand is neat because it turns the toilet water a nice foamy blue. it's very fun to watch.

needless to say, i had the bathroom smelling all nice and clean for the day... i love that sanitized smell. i guess the clean toilets turned out to be a good thing too because hot amy actually had to christen the bathroom today... so no germs on her behind.

following karen and my frantic cleaning, i was then tasked with making lunch. that lunch: macaroni and cheese. (don't worry, i washed my hands before making the meal.) karen thought the lunch would be good since hot amy was coming over. unfortunately, the macaroni and cheese came out a little different this time around. (i will need to perfect this macaroni and cheese recipe should hot amy and i have this macaroni and cheese bakeoff.) nonetheless, i think everyone enjoyed the lunch.

for dessert, the three of us polished off a pint of ben and jerry's ice cream that hot amy brought. yum! ice cream!

aside from that, i pretty much left karen and hot amy on their own while they corrected their case studies. it was a thrilling day for me... i know.

although, i did find out some interesting facts today. those facts include: hot amy absolutely refuses to buy any top that has 3/4 sleeves... something about the feel of needing to pull the sleeves up or down. and the other interesting fact is that karen and hot amy are the same size.

excited about being able to borrow hot amy's clothes now, karen told me that she wore hot amy's dress for this valentine's ball that we attended when all of us were in college. i believe the valentine's ball was the first and only time that i was fortunate enough to meet hot amy's one-eyed date. he literally had one eye. and for some reason... the aforementioned one-eyed date... drove all of us to the ball. i don't know why we thought having the person with the worst depth perception among all of us drive... but we did.

needless to say, the drive was a scary experience. luckily, we all made it out alive. but apparently, the dress karen wore to that ball belonged to hot amy. karen was pretty excited to still be able to borrow her clothes after all of these years. the excitement... i know...
