today karen was off from work. in her effort to allow me to focus on my job, she generally hangs out downstairs so as to not be in my way while i'm concentrating on work. as it so happens, karen decided to do an arts and crafts project in the dining room while having the television on in the living room.
the show that she had on today while doing her craft project: regis and kelly. now, i suck at regis and kelly. i don't think i have ever seen a full episode of the regis and kelly show. i've only seen bits and pieces... and it should go without saying that i like kelly ripa exponentially more than kathy lee gifford.
anyway, as i was hard at work upstairs in front of the computer, i heard karen yell up to me that the new kids on the block were apparently going to be on the regis and kelly show. naturally... like any male teeming with testosterone... i bolted down the stairs to watch the new kids on the block perform. sad, i know.

for anyone curious, the new kids on the block performed "2 in the morning". karen shot me a look of bewilderment and awe because i knew the song they were performing within the first couple of notes. i tried telling her that she should watch me workout because i generally run to the new kids on the block album... and perhaps occasionally belt out a few lines. but that's beside the point.
yes... very sad i know. but i must say, the performance on the show was pretty good.
