I Suck At The Princess And The Frog

Yesterday, Karen and I had quite the busy day. My favorite sister-in-law (Janine) had asked if we could babysit our niece (Kaleigh) and nephew (PJ) while she and my favorite brother-in-law (PJ) went to the Patriot's game. It's been quite a while since Karen and I last watched over PJ and Kaleigh.

Anyway, our babysitting started bright and early in the morning. After a couple of hours of watching television, Karen and I brought my niece and nephew over to visit my friends (Cass and Ellen). PJ and Kaleigh have actually visited Cass and Ellen before, when Janine dropped off a diaper cake for us at their house.

The reason why we were visiting Cass and Ellen was because we were helping them set up their new television along with my friends (Marc and Kelley). In the process, we moved three televisions. Yes, Cass and Ellen have a lot of televisions.

For anyone curious, Cass and Ellen purchase a huge flat panel television on Black Friday. They wanted to set up the flat panel television in their main living area, move the existing television to their sun room, and then move the television in their sun room to the front lawn (for disposal purposes). Needless to say, there was a lot of lifting, cleaning, and sorting through of wires.

While I was helping, Karen brought PJ and Kaleigh to the park across the street from Cass and Ellen. I think they loved the park because they were very excited to go back to the park the second time when I took them. Of course, they may have been more excited because I probably let them run wild... and may have picked and twirled them around more than my pregnant counterpart.

Interesting side note, I think contrary to what he would have you believe, Marc is actually pretty good with children. When Marc came out to check on me (to make sure that my niece and nephew did not tie me up or anything), he played around with PJ and Kaleigh too.

Anyway, we were successfully able to set up the televisions at Cass and Ellen's. (Knock on wood.) As they were preparing for the football game, Karen and I decided to then take PJ and Kaleigh to see the new Disney movie, "The Princess and the Frog". Unfortunately, I suck at the Princess and the Frog.

Karen had already planned on taking them to watch the movie. (I think Karen herself really wanted to watch the movie.) So off we went to watch the movie at the Patriot Cinemas located in Hanover.

Anyway, the movie was good. It had the predictable Disney formula to it. Nonetheless, it was entertaining. Even PJ, who did not originally want to watch the movie because he thought it was about princesses and romance, enjoyed the movie.

Following the movie, Karen and I took our niece and nephew back to their house to watch "Flushed Away", which was another entertaining movie featuring the animation talent made popular by Wallace and Gromit.

All in all, it was a good time baby sitting. I hope my niece and nephew also enjoyed the day.
