I Suck At Not Your Average Joes

last night, i was feeling rather lazy and unproductive. the night before, i was all rearing to go with home improvement projects... installing molding around the windows in our changing room and installing molding around our bathroom closet. but last night... i was not so eager.

instead, karen and i decided to go out for dinner. the place: not your average joes located in norwell. now i suck at not your average joes. as much as i enjoy the place, neither karen nor i have actually been there in awhile.

it just so happened that karen received a promotional email from not your average joes not too long ago. the email was about rating their food items. basically, if you order a food item on their survey list... and then complete the survey... you get a 20 percent discount on your bill for that food item. it was not your average joe's way of determining whether or not the food item should stay on their menu or not, which i think is great.

so with the survey in hand, karen and i decided to dine out. after all, the two of us have not really gone out to dinner where it was just the two of us for some time (wedding anniversary aside).

needless to say, dinner was delicious. as usual, i devoured way too much of their bread. it's just so good. regardless, the meals we were rating were the twisted mac 'n cheese and the mango salmon. (karen had the former, i had the latter... but lucky for me, i got have some of the twisted mac n' cheese.) the salmon was very good. (cue rachael ray's "yum-o" sound.) that is not to say the twisted mac 'n cheese was not good... it was also good. the twisted mac n' cheese was spicy and had bacon and chicken in it. both meals were very good. i'd order both meals again... but then again, i eat practically anything.

anyway, it was good to dine out with karen. following dinner, we went to target located in abington to do some research... and to walk off our meal. having installed molding around our bathroom closet, we were looking to see if they had something for the inside of our bathroom closet in terms of shelving. surprisingly, there were very little options at the store.

we ended up not purchasing anything at target, which may be a surprise to some because i have heard from numerous people about how when they go to target, they end up buying stuff just because. regardless, it was a good night.
