I Suck At The Cedar Cafe

yesterday, karen and i met up with my friend (aimee).

the three of us decided to go out for a quick bite to eat at this place in hanover that aimee had heard of. that place: the cedar cafe.

now, i suck at the cedar cafe. i have never been to the cedar cafe. i have only seen the place in the food court area of what is known as merchant's row (the area where joe's american bar and grill is located).

apparently, aimee's friend (voula) knew the family that owns the cedar cafe. consequently, aimee met the family once or something like that. i must say... the food there is quite delicious. (cue rachael ray's "yum-o" sound.) i had the lamb gyro with the yogurt dressing. it was good.

anyway, it was good to see aimee. in my opinion, aimee was doing remarkably well with all things considered. she said she hasn't gotten much sleep, but that is understandable. i was just glad that i was able to be of some help to her.

yesterday turned out to be quite an interesting night. aimee asked for some assistance with the preparations for her mother's service. she had asked me because she knew i was handy with this thing called photoshop. (i'm really not that good with photoshop. the graphic designers who i know would put me to shame.)

needless to say, aimee brought over a printed document that she wanted to incorporate into the service. the problem: i don't own a scanner. so unfortunately, i could not scan the document into an electronic file.

the three of us ended up making a visit to my favorite sister-in-law (janine). there's a reason why she's my favorite. as it turned out, janine had a scanner. the next problem to arise, however, was that she never used the scanner. so basically what ensued was a mad scramble as we tried to figure out a way to scan the document. it took us quite some time to figure it out... and the only reason why we figured it out was because my favorite brother-in-law (pj) told us how to do it. (there's also a reason why he is my favorite.)

anyway, it was fun being at janine's. my niece (kaleigh) and nephew (pj) got to meet aimee for the first time. after finally figuring out how to use the scanner, the three of us headed back to our house... to which we did some image and text manipulation. hopefully, the finished product will turn out okay.
