I Suck At Bridget Jones's Diary

Feeling that we should do something productive, Karen and I ran a few errands today in the hot and humid weather. Among those errands was to mow the lawn and go to Target. I also went grocery shopping and video game shopping... to which I now have a new game to play on my Playstation 3! I picked up Assassin's Creed 2. I can't wait to start it. It seems so long since I last played a video game (even though I don't think it was that long ago).

Anyway, when all the errands were done, Karen and I decided to watch a chick flick. That chick flick: Bridget Jones's Diary. Now, I suck at Bridget Jones's Diary.

Neither Karen nor I had ever seen the 2001 movie based on the novel of the same name by Helen Fielding. Apparently, the novel is somewhat based on Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice... which now makes sense because one of the characters in the movie is named "Mr. Darcy".

Needless to say, the movie was rather predictable. I did not have high expectations for the movie because I'm not a big Renee Zellweger fan or a Colin Firth fan... or even a Hugh Grant fan. That said, I will have to admit the film was entertaining even if it were predictable.
