I Suck At Blogging

Wow. It's been over a month since I last posted something. I guess it's true. I suck at blogging.

Anyway, my BFF (Kerry) along with some other friends have recently asked about this blog so I figured that I might as well post something about the blog and my hiatus.

It's not my intent to stop blogging altogether. I have been trying to find something else to blog or write about.

The whole thing came up awhile ago when I was having a conversation with my friend (Aimee). Both Aimee and I had caught parts of the live season finale to the show, The Biggest Loser. I did not watch this season (or many of the other seasons), but I always get a kick out of seeing the before and after pictures of these participants.

Needless to say, Aimee had mentioned that Jillian Michaels was leaving the show. Naturally, that got me curious. And as always, I consulted my friend... the Interwebs. After all, I was curious as to her reasons for leaving.

Anyway, I came upon a clip whereby a reporter had inquired as to her reasons for leaving the show. And interestingly enough, I actually felt somewhat inspired. I suppose it's hard not be inspired by Jillian Michaels since, as a trainer, she seems mean and yells a lot.

The gist of what her response, or at least what I took from her response, centered about doing something more meaningful. Now, I'm not saying that blogging about my mundane life has not been meaningful. It totally has, especially when I wanted to write about the passing of my son (Braden).

And as much as I have enjoyed writing about my late son, I don't think I have the interest anymore in writing about my boring life. Not to mention, taking care of my baby daughter (Briana) has definitely made time disappear in the blink of an eye. I have no idea where all my free time goes now because when I look at the time, the day is already over. It's definitely a weird feeling.

So rather than feel like I am tied down to a blog whereby I write about the daily happenings in my life, I have decided to do something more meaningful... or at least something that I would enjoy writing about without feeling that I had to do it during a particular day. Unfortunately, I have not found my new muse yet. I have been trying to think of a new and creative outlet for my writing, whether it is a new blog about creative writing or screenwriting or whatnot.

I just have not decided yet. But suffice to say, I am taking a hiatus while I figure things out.
