I Suck At Supper

On Sunday, Karen's parents invited us over for supper. Now, I suck at supper. I especially suck at calling supper... supper. After all, supper in Karen's family is generally at 1pm on a Sunday afternoon. I find it rather odd that Karen's family calls it "supper" because to me, a meal around 1pm seems more like "lunch" than "supper". Plus, I am guessing there is a reason why it's called Sunday brunch instead of Sunday brupper.

Anyway, "supper" was delicious. My mother-in-law roasted a chicken, complete with vegetables and cranberry sauce. My eighteen month old daughter (Briana) was quite the fan of cranberry sauce. Of course, I could probably devour a whole can by myself. Too bad there was high fructose corn syrup in it, because it tastes so yummy.

And for anyone curious, Sunday was actually the first time Briana had asparagus too. Interestingly enough, I did not notice any distinct smells while changing her wet diaper.

Regardless, it was a good time at my in-laws.
