Before heading off to hang out with my friends (Marc, Kelley, and Andrea) for our usual weekly get together, Karen, our seventeen month old daughter (Briana), and I made a brief pit stop at today's neighborhood drugstore: CVS.
On the shopping list: VO5 Shampoo. Now, I suck at VO5 shampoo. Karen and I generally buy whatever shampoo or conditioner is on sale. I don't have a lot of hair as it is, so the brand of shampoo doesn't really matter much to me.
It just so happens that this week, VO5 shampoo is on sale at CVS for a whopping $0.77. That's not a bad price. Luckily for me, it also happens to be the case that we had a coupon, complements of CVS's own big "red machine", for $2 off when 2 shampoos or conditioners are purchased.
Needless to say, it didn't require any of my genetically predisposed mathematical skills to realize that this meant that the VO5 shampoo would be free this week. And as an added bonus, the coupon would result in an overage to be used on any other product. In our case, we used the overage on candy, of course! Yum!
All in all, it was a good shopping experience.
