I Suck At Grooming

Last night, I was pretty exhausted. Nevertheless, Thursday was the scheduled weekly get together with my friends (Marc, Kelley, and Andrea). For this week, Karen and I had everyone over.

Truth be told, I don't remember much at all from yesterday. One of the things that I do remember, however, is Andrea's use of the term "grooming". Now, I suck at grooming. When Andrea mentioned she would be a little late due to a grooming appointment, I thought she meant a haircut. Sadly, I was mistaken by her use of the term.

Speaking of Andrea, she recounted a story whereby a coworker commented that she wished Andrea had a significant other so that Andrea would be happy. For anyone curious, Andrea is currently single. I am assuming her coworker had the best intentions, and possibly misspoke in equating happiness with not being single. After all, I'm sure there are a lot of couples who aren't happy (Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes come to mind right now since they are getting a divorce). Regardless, it was an odd thing to say particularly when the two do not necessarily equate with one another.

Anyway, that is essentially all I remember from the night. With my two year old daughter acting up, I actually spent most of the night with her trying to get her to calm down. And that usually means watching Elmo. Curse you, you little red furry bundle of cuteness! Just kidding.

All in all, it was good to hang out... at least for a little bit.
