On Wednesday, I fed my movie addiction by watching Gran Torino in the wee hours of night. Now, I suck at Gran Torino.
For anyone curious, Clint Eastwood directs and stars in the movie. He plays a recently widowed Korean War veteran who is angry with the world. He forms a surprising friendship with his new Hmong (an Asian ethnic group from the mountainous regions of China, Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand) neighbors after one of them attempts to steal his Gran Torino as part of an initiation into the local gang.
To my surprise, I actually enjoyed this movie. It probably is not a stretch for Clint Eastwood to play a grumpy old man. He definitely has some good lines in the film. All in all, the movie was entertaining.
