I Suck At Wipeout

Last night, Karen and I had a surprise visit. That visit came in the form of my favorite sister-in-law (Janine), my favorite brother-in-law (PJ), and of course my favorite niece and nephew (Kaleigh and PJ respectively).

Janine and her family happened to be in the neighborhood after dining out at Uno's. After a brief pit stop at Friendly's for some ice cream (which they were kind enough to also bring us some), they asked to stop by to see our baby daughter (Briana). It was probably a good idea that they did stop by, just so our daughter gets more and more used to Janine and her family. After all, Briana uncontrollably screamed and cried for hours upon hours the last time we tried to pawn her off onto Janine in the name of babysitting.

Needless to say, it was good to hang out with Janine and all of them. It turns out that I was not the only person to be on a recent 80s music kick. PJ, apparently, has been all about Hall and Oates lately. Truth be told, I was surprised that PJ liked Hall and Oates so much... unless of course it was just the wine talking.

While all of us were hanging out, PJ and Kaleigh wanted to watch a particular show. That show: Wipeout. Now, I suck at Wipeout. I believe the last time my niece and nephew were over, they were also engrossed with Wipeout. Who knew it was such a good show? Perhaps PJ and Kaleigh should join the weekly get-together with my friends (Marc, Kelley, and Andrea) to watch the show. That would be interesting. (For anyone curious, we actually had to skip getting together this week for Wipeout. Consequently, this week has been dragging by...)

Anyway, I had a good time last night. I'm glad PJ and Janine stopped by. Lately, irrespective of the Briana babysitting incident, I sometimes feel like we don't see them as much as we should. So it was a nice way to break up the week.
