I Suck At G-Force

Tonight, Karen and I watched another movie in her Netflix queue: G-Force. Now, I suck at G-Force.

(The video below is a trailer for "G-Force".)

I suppose I should clarify. Karen and I watched G-Force, the 2009 Disney film about special agent guinea pigs. It's not to be confused with G-Force, the moniker that my favorite sister-in-law's (Janine) friend (Gretchen) sometimes goes by... or G-Force, the animated Japanese cartoon about five teenage champions protecting earth from the evil Galactor.

Anyway, the movie was cute and enjoyable. It was good. And for anyone curious, Jack Conley who played Sahjhan in Angel was in the movie. And for no other reason other than I was surprised... Nicholas Cage voiced one of the characters. The character sounded nothing like Nicholas Cage. All in all, it was enjoyable.

Speaking Japanese, I forgot to mention that I had also watched Blood: The Last Vampire.

(The video below is a trailer for "Blood: The Last Vampire".)

The movie is a live action remake of the Japanese anime horror film (which also spawned an animated series, a video game, a novel...). Surprisingly, I thought the movie was entertaining even if the plot was convoluted. I find most Japanese movies... generally are not that good. But hey, it was about vampires so I gave the movie a chance.

The plot is basically about Saya, a katana-wielding half vampire, who sets out to kill an ancient vampire (and any other vampire that gets in her way) because the ancient vampire killed her human father. It should come as no surprise that the ancient vampire happens to be her mother. And since it's Japanese, it should also probably come as no surprise that Saya has to wear a school girl outfit to infiltrate a military base. Regardless, it was fun to watch... probably for the blood... and the katana-wielding hack and slash aspect.

Anyway, it was good watching both movies.
