I Suck At Running For President

well, as it turns out... today was a big day in the world of politics.

democratic candidate john edwards, the former north carolina senator, dropped out of the presidential race according to msnbc (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22913001/) saying it was time to step aside and let history "blaze" its path.

not to be outdone, republican candidate and former mayor of new york city, rudolph giuliani dropped out of the gop race... mercifully ending his freefall with the public (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22915310/).

the terrible strategy of hedging all bets on the state of florida should have made giuliani realize that he sucked at running for president. not that i have anything against the state of florida (i actually like the state of florida... there's disney world... orange juice... miami vice), but history has already proven that florida cannot be trusted lest we forget about the whole chad fiasco from years past. regardless, it was a risky strategy that unfortunately did not work for giuliani.
